- Ram Choudhary, Age 19 - Maratha Night School
Ram is from Aurangabad, father has tea shop, was forced to come to Mumbai because his family could not take care of him. Due to inadequate education material, his interest in studies had reduced. With the introduction of Brail text books and note books he has been able to read and understand concepts. He has done his exams well. Due to introduction of the soup, he is able to concentrate on his studies. He wants massom to help other blind students like him and give them proper placement.
- Sunita Bhat, Age 17 - Milind Night School
Sunita is working in a clothes garment factory. Her monthly salary is Rs 2,300. Office timings being 10.00 to 7.00. She comes to school at 7.30. Her aim in life is to become a singer and a social worker. Due to financial problems at home, she is forced to work. She is being forced by her family members to get married and discontinue her education. Due to Masoom’s various programmes she now wants to continue her education and also persue her singing. She has also become more expressive.
- Chetan Agre, Age 17 – Milind Night School
Chetan works in the printing press as screen printing operator with a salary of Rs 2500. After his fathers demise, he was forced to earn for living. He is a sole earning member of the family, and eventually take up a job as a driver in the Government. His academic concepts were not clear and was poor in the science concept. With the concept development programme and library programme he has developed interest in reading books, and also interest in science subject.
